Sometimes long, dragging, and seemingly endless weeks demand a playlist that lets you escape.
Whether you’re in school, working in an office, at one point or another, we all dream of a great escape. Escape is defined as the act of breaking free of confinement or control. Let’s face it: even the happiest of people need a break sometimes. When you’re juggling what feels like an infinite amount of tasks, it’s not uncommon to wish you could get away from it all. While kicking back on a tropical island seems great sometimes, swanky vacations just aren’t always realistic or feasible. We’re often left to look for an escape in any way we can. Temporary escape can be found in an intense workout, indulging in a glass of wine, or a good ol’ venting session with friends. Although these are all great forms of release, sometimes you just need to be alone with a song to help you gain some perspective.
I’ve always found it amazing how a song can instantly change your mood or put your feelings into just the right words. During some of my personal rough patches, I relied heavily on music to keep me feeling motivated. Music has the ability to both enhance an already great moment and bring a feeling of courage to a moment that’s not so great.
While a beach vacation may be a little farther away than you’d like, I hope this playlists gets you through your day (or week).
